If you are worried that you or someone close to you may have dementia, it can be difficult to talk about. That is why National Dementia Action Week 2019  is important as it encourages us to open up and discuss dementia with others. Through everyone coming together we can raise awareness, offer help and understanding, improve care and support those with the diagnosis and their carers.

It is National Dementia Action Week from 20th – 26th May 2019 and we will be having an open day on Thursday 23rd May at the Essence Centre from 10am to 3pm.

This day will be an ideal opportunity to meet the staff, view the building and talk to current service users. We can provide information on dementia and explain the support we can provide to clients and carers. Our team will be available to answer any queries. If you are personally affected by dementia or want to know more information then please come along!

We have a range of activities planned as well as plenty of information available too on the day, from not only the Essence Staff, but also other professionals who work closely with the service.

Everyone is welcome!
