Age UK Sunderland celebrated the support and commitment of their Volunteers with a fun filled afternoon tea, music and dance held at the Grand Hotel in Seaburn with The Right Worshipful, the Mayor of the City of Sunderland, Councillor Allison Chisnall and the Consort of the City of Sunderland, Alistair Thomson in attendance.

Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Joyce Jude, who volunteers for the Essence Service at Doxford Park Sunderland. We are proud that Joyce supports the Essence service, she fills the centre with joy and laughter, she is an inspiration to us all.
